I am pregnant, is it safe to still see my dentist during this time?

Yes it is, in fact, it is critical both to the health of you and your child. During pregnancy, gum growth – or granuloma – can occur and, although it is unharmful in most cases, it can potentially cause gum complications at a later date. Any pain experienced in your mouth can also cause stress on your body, and therefore affect the overall health of your growing baby.

When visiting the dentist, please inform them of your pregnancy and what stage you are at.
